UFC president Dana White is confident a rematch between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will take place at some point in 2019.
"As long as everything goes right, this fight should happen," he told TMZ Sports.
Nurmagomedov and McGregor squared off in October at UFC 229, where The Eagle submitted his Irish foe to retain his lightweight championship. After the match, Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage and into the crowd to attack a McGregor associate, sparking one of the most chaotic scenes in UFC history.
The feud between the two had been months in the making.
Neither fighter has stepped into the Octagon since UFC 229.
