Belfort: Mayweather wouldn't have a chance against 14-year-olds in MMA

Floyd Mayweather Jr. may only be given a chance to win in the Octagon by those outside of MMA circles. Brazilian MMA legend Vitor Belfort thinks his chances are laughable.

The 41-year-old Belfort isn't putting much stock in Mayweather's 50-0 boxing record despite having competed as a pugilist himself. He believes that Mayweather couldn't beat any fighter on the UFC roster - or really anyone who has trained in MMA.

"I think he doesn’t have a chance even against the young kids, 15, 14-year-olds. I don't think he has a chance, no," Belfort said Friday, according to MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz about Maywaether potentially coming to MMA. "He has a lot to learn on the ground, kicks. I think it's an illusion (to say) that happens, unless it’s different rules or a fight in his world.

"With his arms, on his weight, he’s a phenom. Now, involving legs and other things, no chance."

Mayweather has been teasing a move to MMA for months, saying in early April that if he comes back to fighting it would happen in the Octagon.
