Rob Font didn't disappoint his hometown crowd Saturday, defeating Thomas Almeida via TKO in the second round at UFC 220.
Almeida and Font fought an even first round, with both fighters landing strikes but neither gaining a sizable advantage.
The second round was a different story. Font leveled Almeida with a crushing punch to the head early in the round, causing him to stumble to the ground. Almeida regained his footing, but his fate was all but sealed.
Font delivered a kick to his face about two minutes later, then finished him off with a flurry of punches before the referee stopped the fight.
