Dodson vs. Munhoz set for UFC Belem
John Dodson will look to rebound from an L in enemy territory next month.
The former flyweight contender and Pedro Munhoz have agreed to lock horns in a bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night 125 on Feb. 3 in Belem, Brazil, the promotion announced Thursday following a report from Brazil's Combate.
Dodson has alternated wins and losses over four fights since moving up from 125 pounds two Aprils ago, with both defeats coming in the form of split decisions dropped to Brazilians John Lineker and most recently, Marlon Moraes.
Munhoz heads into the contest on a four-fight win streak, with three coming by guillotine choke submission. The Sao Paulo native was last seen putting Rob Font away with his calling card in under a round at UFC Fight Night 119 in his hometown this past October. He boasts a promotional record of 5-2.
The February bill will see Belem native Lyoto Machida take on the undefeated Eryk Anders in the middleweight headliner.
