Veteran welterweight Matt Brown is planning to retire following his upcoming fight with Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 120 on November 11.

The 36-year-old fighter announced the decision via Instagram on Thursday.

Brown (20-16) has fought in the UFC since 2008 and competed on the seventh season of "The Ultimate Fighter" before his promotional debut.

The welterweight once carried a seven-fight win streak in the UFC from 2012 to 2014, but after losing five of his last six bouts, Brown appears to have acknowledged his best days are behind him.
