Darren "The Damage" Elkins confirmed Monday via Instagram that he'll take on Dennis Bermudez at UFC on FOX 25 in Uniondale, N.Y., on July 22:
The previously reported bout has not been officially confirmed by the UFC, but all signs indicate that it's a go.
Ranked No. 10 and No. 12 respectively, Bermudez and Elkins are both looking to join the elite of the featherweight division with a big win at the Long Island show. "The Menace" recently saw a two-fight win streak snapped when he was knocked out by Chan Sung Jung, while Elkins has won four straight bouts including an insane comeback against Mirsad Bektic this past March.
UFC on FOX 25 is scheduled to be headlined by a fight between middleweight contenders Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum.
