Lewis-Browne, Miller-Poirier confirmed for UFC 208 in Brooklyn
One of the heavyweight division's up-and-coming stars and one of the lightweight division's most hardened vets are bound for Brooklyn.
A previously reported bout between Derrick Lewis and Travis Browne has been signed for UFC 208 on Feb. 11, while Jim Miller will make his first appearance of 2017 against Dustin "The Diamond" Poirer, the promotion announced.
UFC 208 doesn't currently have a main event, but Holly Holm will face Germaine de Randamie in a five-round fight to determine the promotion's first female 145-pound champion.
Lewis and Browne will both look to keep their spots in the heavyweight top 10. "The Black Beast" is on a division-best five-fight win streak, while Browne hopes to squash a two-fight skid.
Miller won his last three fights of 2016, and could make history early next year. With one more victory, he'll claim the all-time record for most UFC wins at 155 pounds with 17.
He'll have a tall task ahead of him in the 27-year-old Poirier. The Diamond was riding a four-fight win streak before being KO'd in stunning fashion by Michael Johnson this past September.
The lineup for UFC 208 is as follows:
