VIDEO: Tommy McNamara scores 1st goal of 2016 season with gorgeous curler

New York City FC midfielder Tommy McNamara scored the first goal of the 2016 Major League Soccer season, hitting a perfect, long curling shot past Chicago Fire goalkeeper Matt Lampson in the 10th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead.
The 25-year-old midfielder had a bit of luck in claiming this footnote of the season as, in another match, Orlando City forward Cyle Larin had his earlier goal disallowed by the referee for what looks like a strange offside call.
