Toronto FC has waived forward Luke Moore ahead of the start of the 2016 MLS campaign, the club announced Friday.

The attacker has been placed on waivers a little more than a week before the MLS regular season begins March 6.

Moore, 30, spent two seasons with TFC, making 36 appearances in all competitions paired with seven goals and seven assists for the Aston Villa academy product.

The Birmingham-born attacker joined TFC in 2014 following a trade from Chivas USA, but became surplus to requirements with the additions of Sebastian Giovinco and Herculez Gomez.
