Sporting Kansas City loans Bernardo Anor to Minnesota United
Sporting Kansas City announced Wednesday the club has loaned winger Bernardo Anor to NASL outfit Minnesota United for the 2016 season.
Anor, 27, joined Sporting KC in 2015 after spending four seasons with the Columbus Crew. He made 84 league appearances over five seasons, scoring 12 goals and recording three assists. Anor played in 13 matches last season with Sporting KC, starting just four and recording no goals or assists.
"We're incredibly excited to have him on the roster," Minnesota sporting director Manny Lagos said in a statement. "He leaves everything on the field. He's tough and gritty, but also has the skill and composure of a guy who is going to be an influence on both sides of the ball."
The Venezuelan was drafted in the third round, 48th overall, of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. He joins a Minnesota team preparing to enter Major League Soccer in the next few years.
