D.C. United acquires Argentine midfielder Luciano Acosta on loan
D.C. United announced Monday the club has acquired Argentine midfielder Luciano Acosta on loan from Boca Juniors using Targeted Allocation Money, while also sending a conditional 2017 draft pick to the New York Red Bulls in order to acquire Acosta's discovery rights.
Acosta, 21, has made 25 league appearances for Boca Juniors and spent last season on loan with Estudiantes de la Plata, featuring in 27 matches.

"We are very pleased to have acquired a top young talent on loan from Boca Juniors," D.C. United general manager Dave Kasper said in a statement. "Luciano is a dynamic creative midfielder who has solid experience the past two seasons in the top Argentine league, and we look forward to quickly integrating him into our group."
