FC Dallas signs Colombian midfielder Juan Esteban Ortiz

FC Dallas announced on Wednesday the club has signed Colombian defensive midfielder Juan Esteban Ortiz pending the receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.

Ortiz, 28, joins Oscar Pareja's side for the 2016 season; both came through Colombian outfit Independiente Medellin, where Ortiz played from 2008 to 2010. He then joined Millonarios in 2011 and spent 2015 on loan with Atletico Huila, both in Colombia.

Ortiz made 24 appearances last season with Huila, where he played alongside former FC Dallas fan-favourite midfielder David Ferreira. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
