Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley has taken home a much deserved honor after being named U.S. Soccer's Male Player of the Year Friday.
The 28-year-old 109-time-capped U.S. international was voted the best Young Player of the Year in 2007, and has now won the senior prestige for the first time in his career, according to the Associated Press.
Bradley edged out U.S. teammates Fabian Johnson, Brad Guzan, DeAndre Yedlin, and three-time winner Clint Dempsey for the annual award, which is chosen by the United States Soccer Federation.
Online votes account for 50 percent of total submissions, while the other half comes from members of the national media and U.S. Soccer representatives.
