Report: Matt Miazga turns down New York Red Bulls for European move

New York Red Bulls central defender Matt Miazga has reportedly turned down multiple contract extension offers in favour of a move to Europe, reports Kristian Dyer of Yahoo Sports.
Miazga, 20, had a breakthrough year with the Red Bulls, establishing a reputation as one of the league's top young central defenders and earning a U.S. national team nod as well.
But, with European interest from some pretty big clubs - including Chelsea, Leicester City and Stoke City, according to previous reports - Miazga has apparently decided not to take a significant raise with the Red Bulls in order to make a move away from MLS.
Miazga made $68,250 last season and was reportedly offered a much larger salary that would have "multiplied his current contract."
