Sean St. Ledger signs new contract with Colorado Rapids
The Colorado Rapids have penned a new deal for defender Sean St. Ledger that will see the Irish international stay with the club for at least the 2016 season.
"I am delighted to sign a new contract with the Colorado Rapids," St. Ledger said. "I moved mid-season and felt at home immediately. It will be great to have a proper pre-season training camp with the group and kick-on in 2016. I am really excited with the plans the club are making for next year."
St. Ledger joined the Rapids midway through the 2015 season after being released from expansion side Orlando City. He started in the 12 remaining matches of the season, recording two assists in that time. He had previously played in 15 matches, starting 14, with Orlando, before being released.
"Sean has become very important very quickly during his time at Colorado Rapids," club technical director Paul Bravo said in a statement. "He brings experience and quality to the back line and we are very pleased to have secured his future at Dick's Sporting Goods Park."
