Sports are great, except when things start going south for your favorite team. In Sunday's MLS Cup final between the Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers, things did indeed go poorly for the former, and quickly.

The Timbers scored twice in the opening seven minutes of the contest, with Rodney Wallace's header inciting Columbus fans to the point where they started chucking bottles at the Costa Rican as he celebrated his tally (which gave his club a 2-0 lead).

Some pitch maintenance was required in the aftermath of the goal:

Kei Kamara scored shortly after to cut the deficit in half, and we can only assume the Crew fans held onto their beverages in celebration.
