Two goals in seven minutes was not on the Columbus Crew's list of prohibited items for Major League Soccer's MLS Cup.

After the Crew surrendered the quickest goal in the history of the fixture, the Portland Timbers added to Columbus' misery moments later in phenomenal fahsion, as Rodney Wallace got his head to a cross from Alvas Powell to the give his club a 2-0 lead in the match's seventh minute.

Making the start of the game even more remarkable is that Portland is not a club known for storming out of the gates.

However, the goal was not without controversy. The ball clearly rolled out of bounds seconds earlier, resulting in the Crew coughing up possession in anticipation of a throw-in and paving the way for Wallace's goal.
