NYCFC midfielder Diskerud recounts awkward airport encounter

New York City FC midfielder Mix Diskerud overheard something quite uncomfortable at the airport Saturday.
The U.S. international tweeted about an awkward moment he experienced while he and his teammates, including Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo, sat waiting for a plane back home after travelling to Washington and losing to D.C. United 2-1.
Awkward, indeed. Just two of the finest midfielders of their generation sitting there. No big deal.
To be fair, most Chelsea fans would gladly have the channel changed after losing 3-1 to Southampton. Still, NASCAR, of all things? Don't forget to use the left-turn signal, I suppose.
