VIDEO: Robbie Keane's milestone tally makes LA Galaxy 1st team to reach 1,000 goals

The LA Galaxy have set a new record in Major League Soccer, becoming the first team to score 1,000 goals in the regular season since the league's inception in 1996.
Team captain Robbie Keane had the privilege of reaching this exclusive milestone with his second goal against New York City FC, pipping home the goal in the 81st minute after a quick-fire attack alongside Robbie Rogers.
While the goal itself capped off a 5-1 victory over their east-coast visitors, it is the significance of 20 seasons of net-bulging efforts that culminated in this historic achievement.
Keane has the likes of fellow Galaxy goal-scorers Landon Donovan, Edson Buddle, and Carlos Ruiz to thank for helping him reach the 1,000th goal.
