VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Sebastian Fernandez scored goals four minutes apart in the first half to help the Vancouver Whitecaps beat FC Dallas 2-0 on Saturday.
David Ousted had his 10th shutout of the season for Vancouver. The Whitecaps (10-8-3) are 3-2-1 in their last six games. Dallas dropped to 14-11-6.
Fernandez headed home a cross from Maura Rosales in the 14th minute to open the scoring. Rosales also set up the second goal, breaking through the middle and sending a ball to his left that fellow midfielder Pedro Morales let run for Fernandez to slot home.
