Inter Miami signed Canadian international goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair on a one-year deal with an option for the 2027 campaign, the reigning MLS Cup champions announced Sunday.

St. Clair won MLS Goalkeeper of the Year honors last season with Minnesota United. The 28-year-old helped guide Minnesota to its second consecutive Western Conference semifinals.

The two-time All-Star (2022, 2025) and 2022 All-Star MVP spent seven seasons with Minnesota, making 159 total appearances for the club before becoming a free agent.

St. Clair has made 18 appearances for Canada, including nine in 2025 as the nation prepares to co-host the 2026 World Cup. St. Clair and fellow MLS veteran Maxime Crepeau have shared duties for Canada under Jesse Marsch.

Argentina's Oscar Ustari was Miami's first-choice 'keeper last season while countryman Rocco Rios Novo assumed backup duties while on loan from Lanus.

It's been a busy offseason for Lionel Messi and Co. The club signed defenders Sergio Reguilon and Facundo Mura while agreeing to a permanent deal for Messi's international teammate Rodrigo De Paul. Inter Miami also re-signed striker Luis Suarez to fresh terms and bid adieu to Spanish icons Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, who both retired following December's MLS Cup victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
