MLS announced additional sanctions Friday against New York Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch and midfielder Sacha Kljestan for their roles in a half-time confrontation during the second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinals at BMO Field against Toronto FC.

Following a "thorough international investigation," Marsch was fined an undisclosed amount and Kljestan was fined an increased undisclosed amount. The player also earned an additional game suspension, so he'll now miss the first two matches of the 2018 MLS season. Kljestan had previously earned a one-match ban for his role in the tunnel confrontation, with MLS specifying the sanction resulted from "an interaction with stadium security personnel."

The Red Bulls and Toronto FC were fined as well, and the league's Disciplinary Committee also fined Jozy Altidore for simulation/embellishment in the 33rd minute of the match.

Kljestan and other Red Bulls players and staff were involved in a heated exchange of words and shoves at half-time of the match, and Altidore was central to the conflict. Altidore and Kljestan were each issued a red card at the interval, and Altidore was subsequently suspended for the first leg of Toronto's conference final against the Columbus Crew.

The Disciplinary Committee also found Jonathan Osorio guilty of simulation in that particular match, and has fined the Canadian midfielder an undisclosed amount.
