Klinsmann makes Hertha Berlin switch
For the first time in 20 years, there will be some Klinsmann blood in Germany's top flight.
Two decades after Jurgen Klinsmann last played for Bayern Munich, his son, Jonathan, will get a crack at Bundesliga football after impressing on trial to merit a permanent deal with Hertha Berlin.

Hertha announced the move Tuesday with a statement on its website, adding that the Klinsmanns are no strangers to the capital club, with grandfather Siegfried a life-long supporter and Jurgen a member since 2004.
"It was an unbelievably emotional moment for me, because the club has such a family history," Jonathan admitted. "I'm looking forward to everything at the club, the city of Berlin and the challenge of playing in Germany."

Jonathan, 20, was named best 'keeper at the Under-20 CONCACAF championship in Costa Rica in March when the U.S. took the title, beating Honduras 5-3 in penalties. His performances at the Under-20 World Cup this summer are also worth noting, namely a stellar display against Venezuela at the quarter-final stage.
Slated to enter his sophomore year at the University of California, Klinsmann will now meet-up with Hertha's first-team squad with eyes on becoming the club's third-choice shot-stopper behind Rune Jarstein and Thomas Kraft.
