Orlando City star Kaka made his return to the field Saturday after an eight-week injury layoff, coming in at the 60th minute against the Colorado Rapids.
The Brazilian was sidelined just eight minutes into his side's 2017 season debut after picking up a hamstring injury against New York City FC.
Kaka, 35, was immediately handed the captain's armband by Will Johnson, who was making his 200th MLS appearance on the day at Orlando City's new home stadium.
Head coach Jason Kreis confirmed before the match that he would afford the Brazilian an opportunity to get some game action, but limited Kaka to 45 minutes at most.
Orlando has coped well without him as the Lions have won five of their six matches, losing just once in his absence.
