Watch: Dwyer opens account thanks to flowing Kansas move
Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports
Dom Dwyer scored his first goal of the 2017 MLS campaign as three-goal Sporting Kansas City shooed away the Colorado Rapids in Sunday's late kick-off.
Kevin Doyle converted a late consolation from the penalty spot for the visitors, but it was the Missourians who impressed at Children's Mercy Park - particularly in the teamwork leading up to their third tally.
Sporting KC now has an unbeaten streak running back to June, and its two wins and three draws this term sees it fourth in the Western Conference. The Portland Timbers lead the division with 13 points taken from a possible 15.
