It was an historic night at BMO Field on Wednesday, after Toronto FC booked its ticket into the MLS Cup final after edging out the Montreal Impact during a wild two-legged Eastern Conference final.
Goals from Armando Cooper, Jozy Altidore, and Nick Hagglund helped the hosts match the Impact on aggregate after 180 minutes of football ended in a 5-5 draw. However, extra-time goals from Benoit Cheyrou and Tosaint Ricketts came in quick succession during the extra frame to ensure TFC a spot in the final.
After the final whistle, Michael Bradley capped the night off when he hoisted the coveted Eastern Conference championship trophy.
