Orlando City midfielder Antonio Nocerino has been issued a one-match suspension and an undisclosed fine by the MLS Disciplinary Committee on Thursday for kicking a ball at Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey while the latter was on the ground in a fixture this past weekend.
In a post-match review, the MLS Disciplinary Committee ruled that the lashing out, which drew only a yellow card during the match, fell under "violent conduct which endangered the safety of an opponent."
As such, Nocerino will be unavailable for the Lions' upcoming match against the Chicago Fire on Sunday, Aug. 14.
