Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips named MLS Player of the Week
Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports
New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips was one of many who found the back of the net Saturday in a 7-0 decimation of rivals New York City FC at Yankee Stadium.
But the Englishman picked up a Player of the Week nod nonetheless for his brace and individual merits - two assists on the day included - during this now-infamous Hudson River Derby fixture.
His second goal in particular - the Red Bulls' third on the day - was worthy of earning him the accolade.
