Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco had a chance to catch up with a familiar face Tuesday as New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo visited ahead of the two team's Wednesday night clash at BMO Field.
Giovinco and Pirlo played together at Juventus before embarking on their adventure in MLS last season. Earlier in the season, Giovinco met with Pirlo in the reverse fixture in New York for a quick coffee before battling it out to a 2-2 draw at Yankee Stadium.
The longtime friends gear up once again leading up to a match billed as "Italian Heritage Night" with a packed house of 30,000 expected to greet the pair of Italian icons.
