MLS rescinds red card incorrectly issued to Crew captain Parkhurst

Major League Soccer has retroactively rescinded a red card issued to Columbus Crew defender Michael Parkhurst after the club captain was incorrectly identified as the egregious party in a late tackle and ejected from his side's 3-2 win over New York City FC at MAPFRE Stadium last Saturday.
The red card, suspension, and fine were instead reapplied to Crew defender Tyson Wahl, with the league explaining that referee Ted Unkel had already acknowledged the mistaken identity in his match report.
Parkhurst was ejected in the 86th minute for Wahl's shove on Kwadwo Poku, which gave NYCFC a penalty as well.
The Crew conceded the goal, but held on to win by a 3-2 scoreline.
