Local boy Jordan Morris scored his first goal for the Seattle Sounders on Saturday night in a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union at CenturyLink Field. The 71st-minute marker doubled the Sounders advantage before Union midfielder Sebastien Le Toux cut the lead in half two minutes later.
The goal has massive implications for the stuttering Sounders, handing the Cascadians their second win of the campaign to vault Sigi Schmid's lot above Vancouver and the Houston Dynamo in the Western Conference standings.
