Donaldson braids hair after shaky opener

Josh Donaldson is hoping a new hairstyle will kick start his 2016 campaign after a disappointing first outing in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The reigning American League MVP went 1-for-5 with three strikeouts in the opener, so maybe he's hoping the new look will bring out his inner viking.

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger, who inked a two-year, $28.65-million extension with the club in February, has never been afraid to express himself with new looks.

Toronto is back in action Monday, playing the second contest of a four-game set with the Rays at Tropicana Field.
