Yankees to debut bullpen trio Thursday
The Toronto Blue Jays will receive their first taste of the majors' most imposing bullpen Thursday, as the New York Yankees three-headed monster of Aroldis Chapman, Dellin Betances, and Andrew Miller are all scheduled to pitch.
It's the first time the trio will feature in a game together this spring, and also marks Chapman's debut with the club.
Both Miller and Betances made their first and only spring appearances Monday, combining to allow one run off two hits in two innings while striking out three.
While the Blue Jays' offense will have to face the trio Thursday, it won't be until late May when they'll see them in a regular-season game. Chapman was issued a 30-game suspension to start the year for violating the league's domestic violence policy and will miss the Yankees first series against Toronto.
Betances, Miller, and Chapman were the only relievers in the majors to strike out at least 100 batters.
