Cameron Maybin: Out four to six weeks with hairline fracture in left wrist
Maybin (wrist) will be out 4-to-6 weeks with a non-displaced hairline fracture in his left wrist, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis:
Maybin left Wednesday's game in the third inning after being hit in the wrist with a fastball from Luis Severino, and it appears that the injury is much more serious than initially thought. The timetable suggests Opening Day is highly unlikely for Maybin. This will give Anthony Gose the starting center field job for the time being, although Maybin should claim the bulk of the at-bats once fully healthy.
