The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a one-year, $750,000 deal with right-hander Louis Coleman, according to Coleman's agent.
Coleman, who was released by the Kansas City Royals earlier this month, spent most of last season with Triple-A Omaha, compiling an 8-2 record with a 1.69 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 38 appearances. He also entered four contests for the major-league club, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing a single hit.
It's easy to understand why the 29-year-old was deemed expendable by the Royals, who already boast one of the top bullpens in the majors.
