Report: Schumaker agrees to minor-league deal with Padres

Skip Schumaker is headed to the Pacific Coast.

The utility man and the San Diego Padres have reportedly agreed on a minor-league deal, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Schumaker, who can play all outfield positions as well as second base, spent the past two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, slashing .238/.297/.322.

The 35-year-old is hitting .278/.337/.364 throughout his 11-year career, spending the first eight seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals before spending 2013 with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
