Right-hander Jesse Chavez has reportedly won his arbitration case against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 32-year-old will earn $4 million in 2016 after winning the decision, ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports, with confirmation from Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
The two sides were $400,000 apart - Toronto argued Chavez should earn $3.6 million, while Chavez believed his value was $4 million - when they went to a hearing Friday.
The Blue Jays acquired Chavez from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Liam Hendriks in the offseason.
The veteran of eight big-league seasons posted a 7-15 record with a 4.18 ERA and a career-high 26 starts in 2015.
He joins fellow pitchers Drew Smyly and J.J. Hoover as recent winners in their arbitration cases.
