Mets to wear vintage uniforms to honor '86 club
The New York Mets were one series away from capturing a World Series title last season, and on a day in which they officially re-signed Yoenis Cespedes, the club also announced they'll try to channel some old championship magic throughout the 2016 campaign.
In honor of their 1986 World Series squad, the Mets will wear the same uniforms the team wore during their title season on multiple occasions throughout the upcoming regular season.

Also, on May. 28, the club will honor the squad as part of a weekend celebration marking the 30th anniversary of their last World Series win, and second in franchise history.
The vintage white jerseys with blue and orange highlights were donned by Mets greats such as Gary Carter, Keith Hernandez, Darryl Strawberry, and Dwight Gooden during the '86 run to the title.
