Nationals strike deal with Wilson Ramos

The Washington Nationals and catcher Wilson Ramos avoided arbitration Wednesday by agreeing to terms on a new deal.
Ramos will reportedly earn $5.35 million, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.
Ramos appeared in 128 games for the Nationals last season, hitting .229/.258/.358 with 15 home runs and 68 RBIs, while throwing out 24 of 30 base stealers.
The backstop owns a career slash line of .258/.301/.411 with 61 home runs and 241 RBIs across six big-league seasons.
The 28-year-old, whose 2015 salary was $3.55 million, was projected to earn $5.3 million, according to MLB Trade Rumors.
