Bryce Harper is the National League's Most Valuable Player, and he did it in unanimous fashion, securing every first-place vote from the Baseball Writers' Association of America on Thursday.

The 23-year-old became the youngest unanimous winner in major-league history, proving to anyone who doubted his ability that he was indeed the best player in his league and one of the top players in baseball.

When asked about "the haters" on MLB Network after receiving the award, Harper responded with a laugh.

"I absolutely love it. I really do. I enjoy getting booed when I go to places. It makes me thrive. It makes me play well and it's something I enjoy," he explained. "Jayson (Werth) always watches with me and says 'if you don't like it than stop doing all your stupid commercials and everything like that.' There's some truth to that.

"I enjoy doing that stuff and putting baseball out there, putting MLB on the map and doing everything I can to further this game for the young talent across the world and this game is just getting better and better."

Harper finished 2015 hitting .330/.460/.649 with 42 home runs, 99 RBIs, and a 1.109 OPS, with 118 runs scored.
