Mondesi, who joined the team just days prior, will replace Terrance Gore on the World Series roster. The 20-year-old shortstop might not be as fast as Gore, but he's still stolen 72 bases throughout his minor league career and is considered one of the better defensive prospects to come through the Royals' system in the last few years. The World Series is an interesting stage to make a MLB debut, but it's unlikely Mondesi will be asked to do too much unless Kansas City incurs multiple injuries during the series.
