Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols will get an MRI on his ailing right foot Monday morning.
The first baseman insists, however, that he'll remain in the lineup no matter what the scan reveals as long as the club remains in the playoff hunt.
"I'm still gonna keep playing," Pujols said after Sunday's 7-0 win over the Texas Rangers.
The 10-time All-Star has been limited to designated hitter duties since he began experiencing pain last Friday after a mishap while running the bases.
Pujols is hitting .247/.310/.490 with 35 homers and 80 RBIs in 130 games.
Los Angeles is 2 1/2 games back of Texas for the second and final wild-card spot in the American League.
