Jonathan Papelbon began his Washington Nationals career much better than Michael Morse's end in Miami.
But it certainly made for one interesting highlight.
Papelbon struck out Morse in the ninth Thursday to pick up his first save as the Nationals closer, retiring Morse while the Marlins were putting the finishing touches on a three-team trade that would send the slugger to the Los Angeles Dodgers .

Papelbon's 1-2-3 inning secured him his 18th save of the season and a 1-0 win for Washington.
