New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi may have a new left-handed reliever.
First baseman Garrett Jones was called on in relief for the ninth inning of New York's eventual 15-4 loss to the Texas Rangers. Jones, making his pitching debut, recorded two outs, walked a batter, and hit another with a pitch. He also hilariously unleashed a wild pitch that found the backstop while warming up.

Jones escaped the frame unscathed, and now boasts a 0.00 ERA in 2/3 innings pitched.
