Analysis:
After carrying three catchers for the first month and a half of the season, the Cubs finally found a trade parter for Castillo in the Mariners. The 28-year-old Castillo is expected to step in behind the plate Thursday to face right-hander Chris Tillman in his debut with Seattle, and considering how much Mike Zunino has struggled offensively (.173/.233/.345), it seems possible Castillo will eventually take on a significant share of the workload.
