Analysis:
Luckily for Escobar he came away from Monday's sliding incident, caused by the Braves' Andrelton Simmons, without stitches or structural damage to his hand. The Nationals will play it safe by resting him until Wednesday and he should be considered day-to-day until the medical staff allows him to return. Dan Uggla and Danny Espinosa are the likely candidates to get a spot in the lineup during Escobar's brief stint on the bench.
