St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jason Heyward isn't in the lineup Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies, and indicated that the pain is more in the hamstring that the groin, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis:
Heyward left Sunday's game in the third inning with groin tightness, and it will cost him at least Monday's game as well. No official timetable has been set, but he indicated that he would go full out in workouts, so he should be considered day-to-day as of now. Mark Reynolds will receive the start in right field Monday, batting fifth for the Cardinals.
