The injury bug continues to rip through the Texas Rangers.
Outfielder Ryan Rua, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, was diagnosed with a small fracture in his right heel and a severe ankle sprain. Rua will be in a walking boot for two-to-three weeks.
The 25-year-old was injured Friday, the same day the Rangers lost left-hander Derek Holland to a shoulder strain that will keep him sidelined for a couple months.
Rua, who won the starting job in left field out of spring, made his major league debut in 2014, hitting .295/.321/.419 in 28 games.
