Red Sox manager John Farrell said he's still trying "to get a better gauge on" Victorino's durability, the Providence Journal reports. "The one thing we're still trying to get our arms around is, what's the overall durability inside of a given week? How many games played can we plan for?," said Farrell.
Analysis:
Victorino has yet to play two consecutive games in the field and recently, Boston has introduced Rusney Castillo to right field. Depending on Victorino's status when the regular season starts -- disabled list or part-time player -- the Red Sox can cover right field with Castillo, Daniel Nava or Allen Craig.
