The Pittsburgh Pirates plucked shortstop Jung-ho Kang from the Korean Baseball Organization in January after the 27-year-old blasted 40 home runs with the Nexen Heroes last summer.

Kang's power clearly wasn't detained at customs, though, as the young infielder blasted a solo shot off Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada in the third inning of Tuesday's Grapefruit League opener at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

"We want him to be the same hitter over here," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle told Stephen Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette on Monday. "We don't want him to start making adjustments from day one."

Thus far, it doesn't seem like Kang has made any adjustments.
